Theresa Harris has over 35 years of progressively responsible experience in Management and Information Technology (IT). Theresa is known for generating return on investments for her company, strategic business partners and customers. She prides herself in bringing clarity to technology offerings and ensuring that technology supports the business. Building relations and creating customer satisfaction are a must to successfully implement ‘bet your business solutions”. Theresa has saved her customers millions of dollars and has modernized business processes to enhance the way business is conducted. Theresa—best known for her “Warrior” attitude—uses people, process, and technology to effectively and efficiently complete each project.
Theresa’s experience in the IT field began as an Application Sales Manager for the public sector in Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio for Oracle. During her years in the IT field, she has been a top performer in leading organizations, business development, sales management and professional services with companies, such as Blackwell Consulting Services of Ohio, LLC, CompuWare, Computer Associates, Digital Equipment Corporation, Unisys, and Xerox.
Theresa has a wide breadth of corporate governance experience and expertise. She has chaired and/or sat on all the required NYSE standing committees such as audit, nomination and governance, and compensation. She was appointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich as a member of the Ohio Minority Business Advisory Council. Theresa served as a two-term Board Chair for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, a board trustee at Otterbein University where she also serves on the audit committee, a member of the College of Business Advisory Board at the University of Detroit Mercy, an Advisory Board member for Per Scholas, a community board member for Center of Science and Industry (COSI) where she serves on the technology committee, and currently serves as an Associate Board Member for the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
Theresa has received numerous awards for her technology expertise, business leadership, and philanthropic endeavors related to diversity and inclusion, such as the Women WELDing the Way award, the SMARTWOMEN, honoree for Progressive Entrepreneur, and the Groundbreaker Award for Diverse Women in Tech Summit presented by the Women’s Center for Economic Opportunity. She is frequently asked to speak on business leadership, diversity and inclusion, entrepreneurship, and information technology.
Theresa has a Bachelor’a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy. She also completed the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth Executive Education Program. Theresa was also selected by the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC) to participate in the Inaugural Class of the MBE Academy.
